Derby Railway Station
Network Lighting (UK) Limited were commissioned to manufacture, supply and install an interactive lit flooring (public art feature) to the main frontage of the Derby Midland Railway Station, this was a part of the Β£2.2 million improvement scheme from the Derby Railway authorities.
Details
The six piece flooring artwork is a programmable LED system (Traxon Technologies) complete with an interactive element by way of PIR detectors. Each unit lighting element consisted of the Traxon Mesh product: Low-to-medium resolution β Each Mesh unit is comprised of eight flexible acrylic grids, totalling 160 individually-controllable LED nodes allowing low-to-medium resolution large-scale graphics, text, and video animations. The control was via E:cue programmable Butler XT2 DMX 512 product.
